the new tom waits album - real gone
is one of the best albums of the year!

    fucking awesome!

also, if you people got some extra money, go out and get some black and white film or better yet, if you have a polaroid, get some black and white 600 film and take pictures and then look at what you took and write poetry about it...it's easy! and fucking fun to do!

and we all should look up atleast one word a day to give to the others on the site...just to teach ourselves...i try and look up words daily....

    www.centerforbookculture.org/interviews/interview_wallace.html

get out this site, i know it's 17 pages, but it's a must that all writers read this...

    my word for the day:

immolate - vt. - to kill a person or animal as a ritual, or to commit suicide as a protest, especially by burning.

    hey kids!

sorry i haven't been around, midterms, celebrations in forms of clanking glass and whatnots, friends busted on unfriendly felonies, sit-ins on skinny chips and two card holes....

i haven't even started my short story yet! it's due on tuesday....aw, always been a procrastinator....i'll figure it out...it's a mere two thousand words. there's always revision. that's where the teacher really expects greatness anyway. first drafts are shallow wells.

well i have work in a few hours....so i'm gonna lay down and lay my mind out amongst the ceiling.

lights are meant to keep you awake.

    download this band:

    godspeed you black emperor!

and yes, the exclamation is in the title!

and if you want to strain yr brain, try reading "Lost in the Funhouse" by John Barth

it's a collections of stories meant for text, tape and recordings and whatever teh fuck...it just makes you think what kind of brains they had in the sixties...

and people...its almost five years past the new whatever...

we all have brains. lets use them.

    word to future mothers!
